CF Viewport

Please use annealed copper gaskets or elastomer seals to minimize stresses inside the glass. Optional lead glazing for x-ray protection available. 5mm of lead glass provide the same protection as 1.5 mm of lead with an x-ray beam intensity of 100keV (1 mm at 200keV).

  • Kodial and Quartz bakeable up to 350 °C (662 °F), Fused Silica up to 200 °C (392 °F)
  • Recommended heating rate during bakeout: 3 °C/min (5.4 °F/min)
  • Glass-metal-intersection from Kodial to Kovar (ferromagnetic)
  • Pressure range: 10-11 to 1000 mbar
