Control Valve from SMC

These control valves can be screwed onto the pneumatic connection on vacuum valves to switch the supply of compressed air. The control valve handles the logic function: It is electrically switched and releases the compressed air. The compressed air generates the high force in the pneumatic piston that is needed to open the vacuum valve.

They fit SMC vacuum valves as well as Type 2 valves with single-action pneumatic cylinders. With the latter valves, the vacuum valve is opened by compressed air and automatically closed by means of spring action (normally closed).

The control valve has 3 compressed air connections and 2 switched states. All compressed air connections have the same G1/8 connection thread. You can change the switching function from the standard 'normally closed' to 'normally open' by replacing the adapter (included in delivery).

These control valves are not suitable for double-action pneumatic cyclinders. Due to their dimensions, they cannot be attached directly to SMC Softpump valves.
