Silicone

This glass is manufacterd by the Czochralski-Process: A cooled, slowly rotating pulling rod with a seed crystal at its tip is dipped into silicone melt and slowly pulled out again without losing contact to the melt. Because of the slow pulling motion, the thin film of liquid silicone has enough time to crystallize as a single crystal.
