Zinc Selenide

ZnSe is manufactured through process gases. Introduced into a vacuum chamber, they adsorb on a hot substrate surface and react to ZnSe-films. This process is called chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

  • Transmission range: 0.7 - 15 µm
  • Parallelism: 3 arcminutes
  • Planarity: 1/20 wavelengths at 10.6 µm
  • Surface quality: 60/40
  • Bakeable up to 200 °C (392 °F)
